I am beginning this campaign to hopefully encourage others to register to become donors. Organ donation, and specifically kidney donation, is important to me as I am waiting to find the perfect match for a kidney transplant. I will be prepping for dialysis in the near future while I wait for a suitable donor to be found.

Registration is an amazing gift!

In Ontario, patients must be on dialysis in order to receive a kidney from a deceased donor. My wait time once dialysis begins, is expected to be 5-7 years due to my blood type. Having more registered donors would shorten these lengthy wait times.
