Often times when people think about organ transplants they think about seniors or older adults. But that is not the full picture. There are teens and children across Ontario who have received the gift of life. Teens like Devan, who received a heart transplant when she was seven years old. Today she is looking forward to graduating from high school and going to university with her peers. There are also young people waiting. More than 40 children, teens and young adults are part of the 1,500 people waiting for a life-saving organ transplant in Ontario. You can give them hope by registering your consent as an organ and tissue donor. You can join with the 2.8 million Ontarians who have already registered. It's simple and easy, and anyone 16 or older, with an Ontario health card, can register. Register today and then share your decision with your friends and family and contact workplace@giftoflife.on.ca to arrange a campus registration drive.
