Sanjha Punjab is a TV show on Vision TV that is hosted by Bob Dosanjh. The show talks about various topics that affects the Punjabi community including informative interviews, religious services, music, cultural views, and community events. Sanjha Punjab has partnered with the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) in 2016 to promote and raise awareness about the need for more registrations for organ and tissue donation in the Punjabi community in Ontario. Every three days someone dies in Ontario because the life-saving organ transplant they need is not available, yet less than 30% of Ontarians have registered their consent to be a donor. It's really surprising, and it's not good enough. Especially for the over 1,600 people in our province waiting for organ transplants and the thousands more waiting for tissue transplants. We are asking our viewers to register their consent at beadonor.ca, and to ask their friends and family to register as well. It takes only two minutes to register, but could one day save up to 8 lives and enhance 75 more through tissue donation.
