In the year 2010 a loved one was told they had months to live unless they received a new liver. Nine people came forward to be a potential live donor. What a humbling experience to have that many people come forward. If it was not for that our loved one would not be here today. During our journey we have met so many great people, heard so many great stories and also met some people that lost their lives while waiting for an organ. We have learnt so much about organ donation and the impact that one donor that can have. One person can save up to 8 lives and make a difference to dozens of others Even though the number of transplants were up in 2012. Almost 100 people died in 2012. Think about that 100 deaths and a hundred circles of family and friends and how they were affected. I would not want anyone to go through this
