Being diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at such a young age, I really didn't understand all of it. It wasn't until my best friend received a double lung transplant that I knew it would be in my future as well. I was 16 when my health really started to decline. When I was away for school, my lung collapsed. I was dying. I received my first double lung transplant after my rapid decline in health. Unfortunately, I ended up needing a second double lung transplant. Again, a second stranger saved my life.
