There is a great need for organ donors in Ontario. There are currently more than four million Ontarians who have registered to be organ and tissue donors, giving hope to almost 1,600 Ontarians waiting for a life-saving transplant. Everyone is a potential organ and tissue donor, regardless of age, medical condition or sexual orientation. Unity Health Toronto can help make a difference to the long waiting list for organ donors not only through the compassionate care we provide, but also by engaging our staff, students, researchers and volunteers to learn more about organ donation.
