Taking two minutes to register as an organ donor could one day save 8 people's lives and improve 75 more. Nobody likes to think about it, but eventually we will pass away. The tragic part is that because so few people do think about it, less than 30% of Ontarians are registered as organ donors. The lack of donors means that someone in Ontario dies every 3 days waiting for an organ transplant. By giving your consent, it not only prevents many of these deaths, but would also make things easier on your family because they wouldn't have to make such an important and personal decision on your behalf.
