Every three days someone dies in Ontario because the life-saving organ transplant they need is not available, yet just over 30% of Ontarians have registered their consent to be a donor. There are currently over 1,500 Ontarians waiting for a life saving transplant. 39 of these people live in our riding of Northumberland - Peterborough South. I'm issuing a challenge to all the local Mayors in our community to join me in raising awareness. Registering to be a donor might be the greatest gift you ever give.
