This is a whole new way to give. We'll ask nothing back, except that if one of us does ever need a new kidney, lung or heart, we'll be grateful to everyone who registered to donate. Every three days someone dies in Ontario because the life-saving organ transplant they need is not available, yet just over 30% of Ontarians have registered their consent to be a donor. In the GTA that number is just 15%. Meanwhile 1,500 people in Ontario are waiting for organ transplants and the thousands more are waiting for tissue transplants. You can register your consent for organ and tissue donation – it can be done online in just two minutes, and you can start with the red button on the right side of this web page. Our target is larger than our membership. That means we need to invite friends and family to register as well. Registering to be a donor might be the greatest gift you ever give - or hope to receive.
