Since 2000, the London Transplant Gift of Life Association is devoted to promote organ and tissue donation, we equally encourage a conversation with one’s family. In 2005 we proudly created the first in Canada Gift of Life Donor and Recipient Quilts.The Quilts are our most important method of honouring donors and recipients, educating the public, demonstrating that illness does not discriminate, regardless of age, sex, race, or religion. LTGOLA proudly hosted two Gift of Life receptions attended by MPP's at Queen’s Park. We promote awareness by making presentations, have exhibits, newspaper articles, editorials, television, radio, social media, awareness booths and many events as well as a community living green ribbon. Knowing that every 3 days sadly 1 patient dies while waiting, makes all registrations extremely important. We educate the public, refer to beadonor.ca. and talk about it. Transplants save lives! We strive for every patient to gain their life saving transplant!
